Here's how we break down the core stages of a Dynamics 365 Business Central Implementation:

Inspect
This is the first phase of the project and here we look to understand your business and all your requirements in full. We do this by holding several workshops with key people within your business. These workshops are interactive and we have open discussions about how each area should be setup and potentially enhanced to meet your requirements. Where possible we also start configuring the system. As part of this phase, a Functional Requirements Documents is generated which will act as the blueprint for the entire solution. This document will require approval before the next phase can commence.

Design
Once Phase 1 has been completed the build work will commence which will include the following: Any design works. Any development works. 3rd party app configurations and testing. Data migration. Build of testing environments. Any design work will need to be approved before any development work can commence. Once all work has been completed, an end-to-end solution test will be performed to ensure all requirements have been met as per the Functional Requirements Document. Any issues or refinements will be addressed at this time also.

Empower
This phase will commence with training. Here a tailored training program will be generated and delivered. We conduct a “train the trainer” approach, so only relevant users should be part of this training. Once complete, the solution should be tested by the business which is known as User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Here you will test your business processes and scenarios against the solution and ensure it meets your requirements. Any questions or issues raised during this time will be addressed by the project team. When testing is complete and you’re satisfied with the solution, a detailed Go Live Plan will be created. This will detail all the tasks, dates and times for all required activities.

Activate
In this phase we will first start by preparing production environments. This will include the following: Deployment of any developments. Any final data migration and opening balances. 3rd party app configurations. Completing system configurations. Once done, you will Go Live with the solution and you will receive the necessary support during this time. This differs from project to project however this will be identified as part of the Go Live Plan. Sometime after Go Live, a Project Closure meeting will be held to review the solution, delivery and any next steps.
