When logging into Dynamics 365 Business Central users have several options as follows:
- Login via a web browser
- Login via the Windows App
- Login via IOS or Android App using a Tablet or Phone
Login Via A Web Browser
In this section, we will take a look at how to login to Dynamics 365 Business Central via a Web Browser.

First open the browser of your choice. Then Enter the Web Address.
In the address bar of your browser, type the URL for your Business Central instance. This URL will have been provided to you or you can try the link below.

Then Enter Your Credentials:
- Enter your username and password. These credentials should also have been provided by your organization.
- Depending on your organization’s setup, you may be required to use multi-factor authentication (MFA) for added security. If so, follow the prompts to complete the MFA process.
- Access Your Business Central Dashboard: After successful authentication, you should be taken to the Business Central dashboard, where you can access various modules and features based on your user role and permissions.
Login Via the Windows App
We will now take a look at how to login via the Windows App.

Firstly, you need to download and Install Business Central Windows App.
It can be downloaded from the Microsoft Store or the Dynamics 365 Business Central website.

Here are some steps:
- Go to Microsoft Store.
- Choose Get > Install.
- When the app has been installed, choose Open, then sign into Business Central.
The next time you want to open the app, look for it in Start menu.
Then launch the Windows App:
Once the app is installed, open it from your Start menu or desktop shortcut.
- Connect to Your Business Central Environment:
When you open the app, you should see a login screen. To log in:
- Environment Selection: If you have multiple Business Central environments (e.g., Sandbox and Production), you might be prompted to choose the environment you want to connect to.
b. Authentication: Depending on how your organization has set up Business Central, you may be prompted to sign in using your Microsoft 365 account. Enter your credentials accordingly.
- Provide Your User Credentials:
Enter your username and password when prompted. If your organization uses Multi Factor Authentication (MFA), you may also need to complete the MFA process at this point.
- Choose Your Role and Company:
Once you’re authenticated, you might be asked to select your role and the company you want to work with if you have multiple roles or work with multiple companies in Business Central. Make your selections and click “Next” or “Sign In.”
- Access Business Central:
After successfully logging in, you will be directed to the Business Central interface, where you can start working with your company’s data and performing tasks based on your assigned roles and permissions.
Login Via IOS or Android using a Tablet or Phone
Now we will take a look at how to login via IOS or Android.

To login you must Install the Business Central App:
- To do this, Visit the App Store (IOS) or Google Play Store (Android) on your device
- Then, Search for “Business Central” and install the official app

Then, open the app and once it is installed, open it by tapping the app icon.
- Select Your Environment:
When you open the app, it will ask you to select your environment. This is where you’ll need to enter the URL of your Business Central instance.
- Enter Your Credentials:
After selecting the environment, you will be prompted to enter your login credentials. This typically includes your username and password.
You may also have the option to use other authentication methods like Azure AD or Single Sign-On (SSO) if they are set up for your Business Central instance.
- Save Your Credentials (Optional):
To make it more convenient for future logins, you may be given the option to save your credentials.
- Login:
Once you’ve entered your credentials, tap the “Sign In” or “Login” button.
- Access Business Central:
After successful login, you will have access to your Business Central account on your mobile device. You can view and work on various modules like Sales, Inventory, Finance, etc., depending on your role and permissions.
