Business Central Features in One Connected ERP System
Business Central is Microsoft’s cloud ERP for small and mid-sized businesses. Every module shares one database, so a sales order updates stock, finance and reports at once. You stop re-keying data between separate systems.
The UK version handles sterling, UK VAT and Making Tax Digital submissions as standard. It also runs inside Microsoft 365, so your team keeps working in the Outlook, Excel and Teams they already know.

Business Central covers 12 core areas: finance, sales, purchasing, inventory, warehousing, supply chain, manufacturing, quality, service, projects, reporting and Copilot. Manufacturing and service management need Premium, at £84.60 per user per month. Everything else runs on Essentials at £61.50. Both are Microsoft UK list prices, billed annually and excluding VAT. See our pricing page for a full comparison.
Yes. The UK version submits VAT returns to HMRC through Making Tax Digital as standard. You set up the connection once, then file returns straight from the system. We set this up as part of your implementation.
Yes. Copilot comes with every Essentials and Premium licence at no extra cost. It suggests sales lines, helps reconcile bank statements and answers questions about your data in plain English. Read more on our Copilot page.
Yes. Since version 28, Business Central includes a native quality management app. It covers inspection templates, quarantine of failed stock, non-conformance reports and certificates of analysis. New environments include it automatically. If you upgraded from an earlier version, you install it from Microsoft AppSource.
Yes. Microsoft provides a Shopify connector that syncs products, stock, customers and orders between the two systems. Tecvia is a Shopify Partner, so we can set up and support both sides.
